Generic Flagyl or Metronidazole is a multiple use antibiotic. It is used to treat Rosacea quite extensively. Generic Flagyl is obtainable as a gel substance for the treatment of vaginal bacterial infections known as vaginosis [or Hemophilus Vaginitis, Gardnerella vaginitis and non specific vaginitis], also bacterial infection of the vagina. It has not been effective as a treatment for what is commonly called yeast infections [or Candidal Vaginosis].
